A man in his 80s is in a serious but stable condition after he was hit by a bus in Castle Hill this morning.
The elderly man was struck by the bus outside Castle Towers Shopping Centre at about 9.45am.
CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter landed behind Castle Hill Library which is just across the road from the shopping centre.
The patient was treated on scene by CareFlight’s specialist doctor and paramedic and NSW Ambulance paramedics.
He was transported by NSW Ambulance by road, accompanied by CareFlight’s medical team, to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
