An 88-year-old woman was hit by a car in Manly while she was crossing the road earlier today.
She sustained injuries to her head and multiple abrasions to her body. CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance shortly before 3:00pm and landed 15 minutes later in Graham Reserve.
NSW Ambulance paramedics had assessed the woman at the scene of the incident and transported her to LM Graham Reserve for further treatment by CareFlight’s doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic. CareFlight’s clinical team performed an ultrasound on the woman to evaluate her injuries and prepared her for transfer to hospital.
The patient was transported by road in a stable condition by NSW Ambulance to Royal North Shore Hospital under ongoing observation from CareFlight’s clinical team.
