A 6-year-old girl was lucky to avoid serious injury after falling about four metres from a window onto concrete in Sydney’s north-west this evening.

The girl had accidentally broken through the fly-screen barrier of the second storey window.

CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was called to the emergency at Beecroft shortly after 7pm, landing at West Pennant Hills Public School.

The medical team was rushed to the scene at Grace Avenue by Police.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and intensive care paramedic assessed the girl, determining she had managed to avoid serious injury.

The medical team accompanied the girl by road, with NSW Ambulance, to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
