A 53-year-old woman has been taken to hospital in a stable condition after she fell off her horse in Galston.
She suffered an initial loss of consciousness and was found by bystanders.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked shortly after 9:30am and landed in a horse arena by the scene of the incident. The aeromedical crew was first on the scene to assess the woman’s condition. CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic provided initial treatment for the woman’s head injuries.
NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived by road shortly after and provided additional support.
The CareFlight and NSW Ambulance critical care team provided ongoing treatment as the woman was transported by road to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
