A woman in her 30s is in a stable condition after a two car crash in Schofield this evening.

CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter arrived at the scene on Station Road shortly before 5.30pm.

Emergency services worked to free the woman who was trapped in her car for about an hour as a result of the crash.

The patient suffered leg and pelvic injuries and was treated at the scene by CareFlight’s medical crew.

She  was taken in a stable condition  to Westmead Hospital by NSW Ambulance.

NSW Police and NSW Fire and Rescue were also on scene.
