A 24-year-old male has been airlifted to hospital in a serious but stable condition after his motorcycle crashed in Brooklyn just before 12 noon today.

It’s understood the motorcycle was involved in a collision with the rear wheels of an earth-moving truck.

CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to the Old Pacific Highway at 11.54am, landing on an emergency helipad near the scene.

Rural Fire Service and Police were on scene, with Ambulance paramedics providing initial treatment to the fallen rider.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic provided further treatment to the man’s multiple injuries, providing a blood transfusion at the scene to stabilise him.

The man was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
