A 42-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital after taking a fall in the Macarthur region this afternoon.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to Buxton, south-west of Sydney, shortly before 2pm, landing in Telopea Park.
NSW Ambulance crews were also on scene.
The man reportedly fell three metres from a pergola while cutting away vegetation.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and intensive care paramedic treated the man for chest injuries at the accident scene.
He was then transferred to the helicopter and airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
