A 20-year-old man was flown to hospital after he was injured falling from the water ski tube he was riding with another man in Ebenezer this afternoon.
It’s understood the man was initially unconscious when his friends recovered him, bringing him to shore. The second tube rider was not injured in the incident.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked shortly after 4pm, landing in fields near the shore.
Ambulance paramedics providing initial care for the man, who had regained consciousness, brought him to meet the helicopter.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic provided further treatment for the man’s head and facial injuries. He was flown to hospital in a stable condition.
