A man believed to be in his 40s has been airlifted to hospital in a stable condition after he sustained serious leg injuries following a fall in Ourimbah.

It is understood he was working on the roof when he fell.

The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked to the incident on the Central Coast by NSW Ambulance shortly after 10:00am and landed around 18 minutes later in a clearing near the scene of the incident.

NSW Ambulance paramedics provided initial treatment for the man before CareFlight’s specialist doctor and a NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic performed a clinical assessment. They conducted an ultrasound to assess the patient’s injuries and worked to stabilise him.

He was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition under ongoing observation from CareFlight’s medical team.
