A 25-year-old man has been flown to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition after he had a water skiing accident at Wisemans Ferry just after 11am.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to help, landing on a cricket pitch near the boat ramp.
The man was racing in the Bridge to Bridge Water Ski Race and was travelling at 140kms/hr when he hit a log and suffered a pelvis and shoulder injury.
The event’s medical team and local NSW Ambulance paramedics provided care for the man. Police also attended.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic provided additional treatment.
The man was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
