About 1:30pm, Wednesday 13 September, the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to Mount Riverview after a man in his 70s was struck by a large tree branch.
CareFlight’s critical care team and NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene for head and chest injuries. The man was then accompanied by the CareFlight specialist doctor in a road ambulance to Westmead hospital in a serious condition.
