A 21-year-old man has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after he rode his quadbike through a glass window at his property in Mount Hunter this afternoon.
CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter was tasked shortly before 2pm, landing in the man’s backyard just 15 minutes later.
NSW Ambulance provided initial treatment for the man, who had serious neck and chest injuries.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic continued treatment at the scene, providing a blood transfusion to stabilise the man’s condition.
Treatment was continued by CareFlight’s medical team as the patient was transported by road to the Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
NSW Police also attended the incident.
