A 24-year-old male is in a stable condition after he was crushed by a tonne of pallets this morning at Wetherill Park.

CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter was tasked just after 10.30am to the incident, landing a short time later on a vacant block 150 metres away from the scene.

Ambulance crews provided initial assessment of the patient.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic provided treatment to the man who had suffered a serious leg injury.

Observation was continued by the CareFlight medical team as he was transported by road ambulance to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Police also attended.
