A 23-year-old man was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital after the vehicle he was driving rolled on the Pacific Highway on the Central Coast this afternoon.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was called to Somersby around 2.30pm, landing on a sports oval away from the motorway.
According to CareFlight’s medical crew, the man was fortunate to avoid serious injury in the accident, which saw the vehicle extensively damaged after rolling a number of times.
The accident occurred in the south bound lanes of the busy road. However no other vehicles were impacted.
Due to the speed of the accident and severity of the damage to the vehicle, the man was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital to undergo further observation.
