A 33-year-old man was knocked unconscious after falling from a roof and through a skylight onto concrete in Western Sydney late this afternoon.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was called to Greystanes shortly before 5pm, landing in Gallard Reserve about 500 metres from the scene. NSW Police met CareFlight’s medical crew as they landed and transported them to the patient.
The man was reportedly pressure cleaning the roof of a shed at the rear of the premises when he slipped, falling about five metres to the ground.
The specialist doctor and intensive care paramedic treated the man for head injuries, placing him in an induced coma.
CareFlight’s doctor accompanied the man as he was transported by road with NSW Ambulance to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
