At just after 9am on Tuesday 14 May, the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked to a property near Wiseman’s Ferry in the Hawkesbury region of NSW.

A man in his mid 40s had suffered injuries to his face and eyes. The Mounties Care CareFlight Rapid Response Helicopter landed in a nearby paddock and were transported to the patient in a ute by a neighbour. The CareFlight doctor and the NSW Ambulance Critical Care Paramedic provided treatment to the man on the scene. Then the neighbour assisted the CareFlight medical crew to transport the man back to the helicopter.

The man was then flown to Royal North Shore hospital in a serious but stable condition.
