On Thursday 13 August, shortly before 12pm, the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to Mount Victoria following a head-on collision between a car and a truck.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a male passenger in his 20s at the scene. The patient sustained chest and abdominal injuries and was flown to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
The female driver was treated for multiple injuries at the scene by paramedics and the medical crew from the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter before being flown to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
