A man in his 30s was craned from a construction site in Sydney’s north after being knocked unconscious by a concrete-pump hose this afternoon.
The hose had gotten loose while being flushed clean with water under high-pressure, flapping wildly and striking the man, knocking him unconscious for a period.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to Pymble just after 3.30pm, landing just off the Pacific Highway, near the scene.
The specialist doctor assessed the man for head and facial injuries at the scene and provided medication for pain, prior to his extrication from the roof of the three-storey project.
A large team of emergency services personnel was involved in safely getting the man onto a stretcher and craning him to safety.
He was taken by road ambulance to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
