A 53-year-old man has been revived after he had collapsed due to a medical episode in the driveway of a residence in Elanora Heights this morning.

Neighbours quickly came to the man’s aid and were able to provide CPR until ambulance paramedics arrived.

CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to help at 9.30 am, the critical care medical crew landing at the Warriewood Valley sports grounds after a fast flight in 10 minutes.

At the scene, CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic provided further treatment to the man, who had gone into cardiac arrest.

CareFlight’s medical team continued resuscitation in a road ambulance, with man’s condition dramatically improving. He was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
