On Saturday, 22 November shortly after midday the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance after a man in his 60s suffered anaphylaxis following a suspected spider bite while on a camping trip in Wisemans Ferry.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics provided critical care to stabilise the patient at the scene next to the Hawksbury River. The patient was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Later on, Saturday 22 November, shortly before 3pm, the Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance after a young boy was injured when a claw skill tester vending machine fell on him at an event in Bateau Bay.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics provided a clinical assessment. The patient was transported by NSW Ambulance by road ambulance to Gosford Hospital in a stable condition.
