A 27-year-old man mowing grass in Prospect Reservoir, Prospect, has sustained facial injuries after the tractor he was driving rolled over on an embankment.
The worker was able to extract himself from under the tractor and raise the alarm for help.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked at 10:15am and landed 10 minutes later in the reservoir close to the scene of the incident. CareFlight’s aeromedical crew were the first emergency personnel to arrive at the scene of the incident and the specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care assessed the man’s facial injuries.
NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived shortly after to provide additional treatment.
The man was transported by road ambulance in a stable condition to Westmead Hospital under ongoing observation from CareFlight’s clinical team.
