A 54-year-old-man has been injured after his vehicle collided with a tree on Pennant Hills Road, Thornleigh.

CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked at 10:26 and landed 10 minutes later in Headen Park where NSW Police escorted CareFlight’s aeromedical team to the scene of the incident.

Fire and Rescue NSW worked to free the man from his car and NSW Ambulance paramedics provided initial treatment. CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic assessed the man for injuries to his lower limbs.

The patient was transported by road ambulance in a stable condition to Westmead Hospital under the ongoing treatment of CareFlight’s aeromedical team.
