Earlier today, CareFlight attended a private residence in Freshwater where a man aged in his 30s had fallen approximately 3 meters from a ladder and continued to fall down a stairway.
The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance shortly after 10.30am and landed in the car park next to Harbord Diggers. They were joined by NSW Ambulance and NSW Police on the scene.
NSW ambulance paramedics worked alongside CareFlight’s medical team to treat the man, with CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic performing a clinical assessment, including ultrasound, and administered pain relief for suspected lower limb injuries.
The man was taken by road ambulance to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
