A man in his late teens was taken to hospital in stable condition after becoming trapped in a truck after a 3-car accident on Ryde Bridge in Sydney.

The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance shortly before 3:30pm. The helicopter landed near the scene.

NSW Ambulance crews were on the scene providing treatment to the driver and tending to the occupants of the other vehicles. NSW Fire and Rescue crews extricated the driver from the truck.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic provided additional treatment on scene, including pain relief, ultrasound and treatment for crush injuries.

The patient was taken in a road ambulance to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
