A 57-year-old man has been taken to hospital in stable condition after he was injured when his motorcycle and a car collided in St Ives this morning.
The man was riding with a female passenger on the back when the collision took place at the intersection of Mona Vale Road and Palm Street.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked shortly after 11am, landing in an oval next to the scene.
Ambulance paramedics, Police and Fire & Rescue crews were also on scene.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic assessed both patients, treating the male, who was the most seriously injured.
The medical team continued treating the man’s lower limb injuries in a road ambulance and he was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The female passenger was taken to hospital by road ambulance crews.
