Just before 9am, Sunday 10 March, the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to a motorcycle accident in Hartley, south of Lithgow.
NSW Police assisted transporting the helicopter’s medical crew to the patient and providing traffic management along Jenolan Caves Rd.
The rider, a male in his 20s, was treated at the scene by CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics.
He was then airlifted to Westmead Hospital by helicopter in a critical condition.
