A man in his 50s is in a serious but stable condition following a motorcycle accident in the Blue Mountains this afternoon.
The man was initially unconscious after the single vehicle accident.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to Woodford at 3pm, landing in Bulls Camp Reserve.
Police conveyed CareFlight’s specialist doctor and intensive care paramedic to the scene on the Great Western Highway.
The critical care team treated the man for head and suspected internal injuries as well as fractured leg, arm and hand.
He was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
