CareFlight has airlifted a 53-year-old man to hospital this afternoon after his motorcycle collided with a car on Old Northern Road, Maroota.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked just after 1:20pm, landing less than 15 minutes later in a paddock by the scene of the incident.
NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment for the man and CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic assessed the patient for flight transfer to hospital.
The patient was taken airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition under ongoing observation from CareFlight’s clinical team with suspected pelvic injuries and a dislocated hip.
