A motorcyclist suffered serious head injuries in a collision with a 4WD at Brookvale this afternoon.
The CareFlight rapid response trauma team were called to the incident which took place on Pittwater Road, near Brookvale Oval, at 4.40pm. The helicopter landed near the scene at Brookvale Public School at the corner of Pittwater and Winbourne Roads.
The 21-year-old male motorcycle rider was intubated at the scene by CareFlight’s medical crew before being airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.
NSW Police, NSW Ambulance and Fire and Rescue NSW also attended the scene.
