A 30-year-old man was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with the rear end of a car in Sydney’s north-west this evening.
The man sustained multiple injuries when he was thrown from his motorcycle onto the roof of an SUV in front at traffic lights in Rydalmere.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to the accident shortly before 6pm, landing at the scene nine minutes after receiving the call.
The man remained on the roof for around half an hour where he was treated by CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic.
NSW Ambulance and NSW Fire & Rescue crews helped CareFlight’s medical team to safely remove the man from the roof of the vehicle.
He was taken by road ambulance to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition with CareFlight’s medical team.
