A male motorcyclist in his 30s was taken to hospital with a serious head injury after colliding with a car today.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was called to Pittwater Road, near the Namona Street intersection, at Narrabeen on Sydney’s northern beaches about 12.30pm.
They landed at the Narrabeen Sharks junior rugby league grounds with police waiting to drive the medical team a short distance to the crash scene, where NSW Ambulance crews had begun treating the injured rider.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic intubated and sedated the rider before he was placed aboard a road ambulance in a serious condition.
The medical team continued treatment in the ambulance on the way to Royal North Shore Hospital.
