The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked to the incident near Narrabeen Surf Club by NSW Ambulance shortly after 3:50pm and landed around 10 minutes later on Narrabeen Beach near the incident.

The CareFlight medical team treated a seriously injured woman who had suffered suspected spinal and pelvic injuries.

Surf Life Savers and NSW Ambulance paramedics provided initial treatment to the woman before CareFlight’s specialist doctor and a NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic performed a clinical assessment. They conducted an ultrasound to assess the patient’s injuries and administered pain relief while taking spinal precautions.

The woman was taken by road with NSW Ambulance to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition under ongoing observation from CareFlight’s medical team.

An additional medical team on a NSW Ambulance Rescue Helicopter were also dispatched to provide specialist care and treatment for other individuals injured in the incident.

Police and Fire and Rescue NSW were also in attendance.
