A 60-year-old painter was airlifted to hospital in a stable condition after he fell through a pergola in Arcadia this morning.

It’s understood the man was painting when he fell approximately three metres. He hit his head and was knocked unconscious.

CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter was called to premises in Arcadia shortly before 10.30am and landed at a nearby property.

NSW Ambulance was also on scene.

CareFlight’s medical crew treated the patient for head injuries before airlifting him in a stable condition to Westmead Hospital.
