The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to airlift a woman aged in her 70s from Ettalong, NSW to the Royal North Shore Hospital shortly after noon today.
The helicopter was met by NSW Ambulance and the NSW Police Force at a park in Ettalong following an earlier incident involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle.
The patient was attended to by CareFlight’s specialist doctor and a NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic for significant injuries to the left limbs. A clinical assessment and ultrasound were conducted and medication was administered including pain relief.
The patient was airlifted to Sydney in a stable condition.
