A male pedestrian in his thirties is in a critical condition this evening after sustaining a head injury when he was hit by a car in North Sydney this afternoon.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response helicopter, with specialist critical care doctor and intensive care paramedic, were tasked to North Sydney just after 4pm, landing just 14 minutes later on North Sydney oval, a short distance away from the incident.
CareFlight’s crew were taken to the incident scene, near the corner of Blue and Walker streets, by NSW Police where they joined NSW Ambulance paramedics who were already at the scene.
The man was stabilised by CareFlight’s clinical team at the scene before he was transferred to a NSW road ambulance for the journey under the supervision of the clinical team to Royal North Shore Hospital.
