A 29-year-old man has been transported to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition after a car collided with him when he was crossing Kissing Point Road, Dundas.

He sustained serious head and facial injuries.

CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked at 2:33pm and after less than a five-minute flight, landed in St Patrick’s Marist College. The aeromedical team made their way to the scene of the incident where paramedics were providing initial treatment.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor intubated the man roadside and placed the man in an induced coma to stabilise him.

The CareFlight aeromedical team continued treatment as the man was taken by road ambulance to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
