A 60-year-old woman remains in a stable condition after being hit by a car on Sydney’s North Shore this morning.

CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was called to Ryde just after 10am, landing shortly after in a park near the Parramatta River.

The impact left the woman with head and facial injuries.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and intensive care paramedic treated her at the scene.

The medical crew then joined NSW Ambulance paramedics to escort the woman by road to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
