A 36-year-old man suffered spinal injuries after falling down stairs on the Central Coast today.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was called to Umina Beach around midday, following reports a man had taken a serious fall down a set of stairs.
The man was transported by NSW Ambulance to a nearby landing site at Umina Beach reserve. There he was be met by CareFlight’s specialist doctor and paramedic team.
The man, who had suffered spinal injuries, was assessed on scene and then carefully transferred to the helicopter to be flown to Royal North Shore Hospital for further evaluation.
