A 14-year-old male has been flown to hospital in a stable condition after he crashed his motorcycle at an organised off-road racing event in Port Kembla this afternoon.

The boy suffered arm and leg fractures when he crashed during a race.

CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked shortly before 1pm, landing at the racing club venue.

The critical care team joined NSW Ambulance paramedics who were providing initial treatment at the scene.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic provided additional treatment at the scene before the boy was transferred to the helicopter.

The boy was flown to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Sydney in a stable condition.
