A teenage girl was knocked unconscious after being hit by a car at Liverpool in Sydney’s south-west this afternoon.
The CareFlight rapid response trauma team were called to the corner of Hume Highway and Hoxton Park Road at 3.18pm, landing in an adjacent park.
The girl, aged about 14, was still unconscious with an isolated head injury when the CareFlight medical team arrived and joined NSW Ambulance paramedics and NSW Police on the scene.
She was sedated and intubated to assist breathing, then transferred by road to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead with the CareFlight doctor continuing to provide specialist care on the way.
