Two women remain in hospital in a stable condition after a two-car collision in Western Sydney this morning.

CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was called to Orchard Hills shortly after 9am.

A 22-year-old woman was quickly taken to hospital by NSW Ambulance in a stable condition.

The driver of the second vehicle was trapped for a period. The 67-year-old woman was freed by NSW Fire & Rescue.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and intensive care paramedic provided treatment at the scene for injuries to the chest and multiple fractures.

The medical crew accompanied her by road to Westmead Hospital.
