A 2-year-old boy is in a stable condition after he fell unconscious at a childcare centre earlier this morning at Sydney Olympic Park.
CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter was tasked just after 11.20am to the centre, landing in a reserve 150 metres from the scene.
It is understood the toddler became unconscious for about 20 minutes after he suffered a nose bleed.
Ambulance crews provided initial assessment to the patient who remained unconscious.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic continued to assess the boy who had regained consciousness.
The boy continued to be monitored by the CareFlight medical team as he was transported via road ambulance to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.
Police also attended the scene.
