A 63-year-old woman has been airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition after she was kicked by a horse at a property near Kurrajong this morning.

It’s understood the woman was at the property on Comleroy Road about to go horse riding when the animal became spooked and kicked her.

She suffered a fractured forearm and a pelvic injury.

CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter was called shortly before 11.30am and landed on the property.

The medical crew stabilised the patient before airlifting her to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
