On Tuesday 14 July, just before 2:00pm the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to West Pennant Hills after a woman in her 60s became trapped following a motor-vehicle incident.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics stabilised the patient on scene, treating her for injuries to her abdomen and limbs after Fire and Rescue NSW released her from the vehicle. The patient was then taken by road to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Two occupants of another vehicle were also treated on scene by NSW Ambulance before they were taken to Westmead Hospital. Both were in a stable condition.
