A 37-year-old man working on a house in Palm Beach has fallen three-storeys and sustained a potential spinal injury and arm fractures.
It is understood that the worker had fallen onto the railing on the second floor of the residence before falling to the ground.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked shortly after 1:00pm from CareFlight’s Westmead hangar and landed less than 20 minutes later in a Palm Beach wharf. NSW Police escorted CareFlight’s specialist doctor and Ambulance critical care paramedic to the scene of the incident where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment.
CareFlight’s clinical team assessed the patient and undertook measures for potential spinal injuries.
The man was taken by road ambulance to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition under ongoing observation from CareFlight’s clinical team.
