On Saturday, 21 February, shortly after 11am, the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to Stanhope Gardens, after a child was hit by a car while cycling.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the patient on scene before the patient was transported by road ambulance accompanied by the CareFlight doctor to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.
