On Saturday 11 April, shortly before 5pm the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to Avoca Beach where a man in his 20s suffered a serious head injury during a football match.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the patient before he was transported by air to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
