15-year-old girl injured in motocross bike fall

A 15-year-old girl suffered number of serious fractures to her left arm and left leg following a fall off a motocross bike in South Maroota this afternoon.

The CareFlight rapid response trauma team were called to Pacific Park at South Maroota at 1.25pm and were the first to arrive at the scene 15 minutes later.

CareFlight’s doctor initiated pre-hospital procedures to treat the girl’s multiple injuries including providing analgesia. The girl was wearing full protective clothing and a helmet at the time of her fall and remained conscious throughout.

The girl was airlifted to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a serious but stable condition.

NSW Ambulance and NSW Police from Hawkesbury LAC also attended the scene.
