A nine-year-old boy has been airlifted to hospital in a stable condition after he fell 10 metres from a rock-climbing wall at the Central Coast Leagues Club, Gosford.

CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked at 10:10am and landed shortly after 10:30am in the nearby Adcock Park, West Gosford. NSW Police escorted CareFlight’s aeromedical crew to the scene of the incident where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment for the boy’s fractured leg.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic provided additional treatment, splinting the injury.

The CareFlight and NSW Ambulance critical care team continued treatment as the boy was flown to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.
