In a busy weekend for CareFlight that signals the start of the school holidays in NSW, our crew have responded to two motor vehicle accidents today.

A 55-year-old man crashed his motorbike while avoiding a car on a road between Sydney and the Hunter Valley.

CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked, treating the man for upper body injuries at the scene before stabilising him and airlifting him to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

Shortly after, the crew were on their way to another motorbike accident at an event near Lithgow.

A 41-year-old man was competing at the Clarence MotoX Track event when he crashed on a jump and sustained significant upper body injuries.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and paramedic provided treatment at the scene and stabilised him, before he was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
